“Hey Mel Reeling Veterans is looking for current and ex-defence females to enter a team in the Girls Gone Fishing Tournament” And just like that I applied, not knowing much about Reeling Veterans and only hearing great things about the GGF competition.

As a veteran myself I and my family was privileged to spend the day on Corroboree, 25 years since my posting up here in NT, great day with Michael.

The email came;
"You've been selected to participate in the 2022 Tiwi Fishing Program run by Reeling Veterans".
First thoughts;
"Why did I apply?"
"How am I going to get on the plane?"
"What if I embarrass myself with my anxiety while I'm away?"
My mind was racing leading up to the trip and I contemplated pulling the pin.
